The San Gabriel Valley Legislative Caucus is comprised of the Valley''s thirteen (13) State assembly members and senators.
California State Senate
As shown in the map, six (6) State Senators represent the San Gabriel Valley. These State Senators are Carol Liu, Kevin De León, Ed Hernandez, Bob Huff, Ron Calderon, and Gloria Negrete McLeod.
Senator Carol Liu (District 21)
Senator Liu has served in the California State Senate since 2009. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2000-2006. Senator Liu also served on the La Canada-Flintridge city council from 1992-2000, including two terms as mayor.
The 21st Senate District includes the cities or portions of Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, La Canada Flintridge, San Gabriel, Temple City, and Los Angeles communities including Tarzana, Encino, Reseda, Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, North Hollywood, Silverlake, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Atwater Village, and Chinatown.
Senator De León has served in the California State Senate since 2010. He previously served in the California State Assembly.
The 22nd Senate District includes the cities or portions of: Los Angeles, Alhambra, Maywood, San Marino, South Pasadena, and Vernon.
Senator De León currently serves on the Senate Rules Committee.

Senator Ed Hernandez (District 24)
Senator Harnandez has served in the California State Senate since 2010. He previously served in the California State Assembly and previously worked as an optometrist.
The 24th Senate District includes the cities or portions of: Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, El Sereno, Lincoln Heights, City Terrace, Montecito Heights, and the Cities of Azusa, Baldwin Park, Covina, Duarte, El Monte, Industry, Irwindale, La Puente, Monterey Park, Rosemead, South San Gabriel, and West Covina. The district also includes the communities of Avocado Heights, Citrus, Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, Valinda and Vincent.
Senator Hernandez currently serves as the Chair of the Senate Health Committee.

Senator Bob Huff (District 29)
Senator Huff has served in the California State Senate since 2009. He previously served in the California State Assembly and as mayor and councilember of Diamond Bar.
The 29th Senate District includes the cities or portions of: Anaheim, Arcadia, Bradbury, Brea, Charter Oak, Chino, Chino Hills, Citrus, Claremont, Diamond Bar, East Pasadena, East San Gabriel, Glendora, Hacienda Height, Industry, La Crescenta-Montrose, La Habra, La Habra Heights, La Verne, Mayflower Village, Monrovia, North El Monte, Placentia, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, Tujunga, Walnut, and Yorba Linda.
Senator Calderon has served in the California State Senate since 2006. He previously served in the California State Assembly.
The 30th Senate District includes the cities or portions of: Bell, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Cudahy, Huntington Park, Maywood, Montebello, Norwalk, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, South El Monte, South Gate, Whittier, and Vernon.

Senator Gloria Negrete McLeod (District 32)
Senator Negrete McLeod has served in the California State Senate since 2006. She previously served in the California State Assembly. The 32nd Senate District includes the cities or portions of: Colton, Fontana, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, Rialto and San Bernadino, as well as the unincorporated areas of Bloomington and Muscoy.
As shown in the map, seven (7) State Assemblymembers represent the San Gabriel Valley. These Assemblymembers are Anthony Portantino, Mike Eng, Roger Hernández, Charles Calderon, Tim Donnelly, Curt Hagman, and Norma Torres.
Assemblymember Anthony Portantino (District 44)
Assemblymember Portantino has served in the California State Assembly since 2006. He previously served as Mayor and Councilmember in the City of La Canada Flintridge.
The 44th Assembly Districts includes the cities or portions of La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, South Pasadena, Arcadia, Temple City, Duarte and Monrovia; and the communities of Glassell Park, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, and Altadena.
Assemblymember Portantino currently serves as the on the Assembly's Committee on Accountability and Administrative Review, Committee on Higher Education, Committee on Human Services, and Committee on Transportation.
Assemblymember Eng has served in the California State Assembly since 2006. He previously served as Mayor and Councilmember in the City of Monterey Park.
The 49th Assembly District includes the cities or portions of Alhambra, El Monte, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino and South El Monte.
Assemblymember Eng currently serves on five Assembly Committees: the Committee on Business and Professions; Education; Health; Transportation; and the Committee on Banking and Finance, for which he serves as Chair.
Assemblymember Hernández has served in the California State Assembly since 2010. He previously worked as an optometrist. He previously served as the Mayor of West Covina, as well as on the West Covina City Council, and the Rowland Unified School District Board.
The 57th Assembly District includes the cities or portions of: Hacienda Heights, Industry, La Puente, Azusa, Irwindale, Citrus, Vincent, Charter Oak, Covina, West Covina, Baldwin Park, Valinda, West Puente Valley, Avocado Heights, Mayflower Village, and South San Jose Hills.
Assemblymember Hernández currently serves on the Assembly's Committee on Banking and Finance; Committee on Health; Committee on Utilities and Commerce; and Committee on Water, Parks, and Wildlife.
Mr. Hernández also serves as the Assistant Majority Whip.
Assemblymember Calderon was re-elected to the California Assembly in 2006. He previously served in the Assembly, before serving in the State Senate.
The 58th Assembly district serves the cities or portions of: Downey, East La Mirada, East Los Angeles, Hacienda Heights, Industry, Montebello, Pico Rivera, Rowland Heights, South San Gabriel, South San Jose Hills, and Whittier.
Assemblymember Calderon currently serves on five Assembly Committees: Appropriations; Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism, and Internet Media; Banking and Finance; Insurance; and Revenue and Taxation.
Mr. Calderon also serves as the Majority Floor Leader.
Assemblymember Donnelly has served in the California State Assembly since 2010. He previously served as Director of the Legislative Affairs for the County of San Bernardino.
The 59th Assembly District includes the cities or portions of: Apple Valley, Bradbury, Claremont, Crestline, Glendora, Hesperia, La Crescenta, La Verne, Lake Arrowhead, Mentone, Montrose, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, Arcadia, Highland, Monrovia, Redlands and San Bernardino.
Assemblymember Adams currently serves as Vice-Chair on two Assembly Committees: the Higher Education Committee and the Revenue and Taxation Committee. He also serves on the Joint Legislative Audit Committee, and the Assembly Appropriations Committee and Rules Committee.
Assemblymember Hagman has served in the California State Assembly since 2009. He previously served as Mayor and Councilmember in the City of Chino Hills.
The 60th Assembly District includes the cities or portions of: Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, Villa Park, Walnut, Anaheim, Industry, La Habra, Orange, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, Whittier and Yorba Linda.
Assemblymember Hagman serves on six Assembly Committees: Accountability and Administrative Review; Business and Professions; Business and Professions Subcommittee on Oversight and Performance Evaluation; Public Safety; Rules; and Insurance--for which he serves as Vice Chair.
Mr. Hagman also serves as the Assistant Republican Floor Leader.
Assemblymember Torres has served in the California State Assembly since 2009. She previously served as mayor and councilmember in the City of Pomona.
The 61st Assembly District includes the cities or portions of: Chino, Chino Hills, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona and Rancho Cucamonga.
Assemblymember Torres currently serves as chair of the Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee. She also serves on the Assembly's Committee on Aging and Long-term Care; Committee on Banking and Professions; Committee on Governmental Organization; and Committee on Insurance.
