The San Gabriel Valley Legislative Caucus is comprised of the Valley''s thirteen (13) State assembly members and senators.  

California State Senate

As shown in the map, six (6) State Senators represent the San Gabriel Valley. These State Senators are Carol Liu, Kevin De León, Ed Hernandez, Bob Huff, Ron Calderon, and Gloria Negrete McLeod.

 

Senator Carol Liu (District 21)

Senator Liu has served in the California State Senate since 2009. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2000-2006.  Senator Liu also served on the La Canada-Flintridge city council from 1992-2000, including two terms as mayor.
 
The 21st Senate District includes the cities or portions of Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, La Canada Flintridge, San Gabriel, Temple City, and Los Angeles communities including Tarzana, Encino, Reseda, Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, North Hollywood, Silverlake, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Atwater Village, and Chinatown.

Senator De León has served in the California State Senate since 2010. He previously served in the California State Assembly.

The 22nd Senate District includes the cities or portions of: Los Angeles, Alhambra, Maywood, San Marino, South Pasadena, and Vernon.

Senator Ed Hernandez (District 24)
Gloria Romero
Senator Harnandez has served in the California State Senate since 2010. He previously served in the California State Assembly and previously worked as an optometrist.

The 24th Senate District includes the cities or portions of: Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, El Sereno, Lincoln Heights, City Terrace, Montecito Heights, and the Cities of Azusa, Baldwin Park, Covina, Duarte, El Monte, Industry, Irwindale, La Puente, Monterey Park, Rosemead, South San Gabriel, and West Covina. The district also includes the communities of Avocado Heights, Citrus, Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, Valinda and Vincent.

Senator Hernandez currently serves as the Chair of the Senate Health Committee.
