
Homeless Services Strategy Development Steering Committee
Background
In 2009-09, the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments undertook a planning effort to define an approach to coordinate the delivery of homeless services here in the San Gabriel Valley. This effort was undertaken in partnership with Los Angeles County. To accomplish this objective, SGVCOG involved important stakeholder groups including county, city, community and faith-based organizations.
Regional Homeless Services Strategy Final Report
The regional homeless services strategy was adopted by the Governing Board on April 16th, 2009.
The clusters were organized as follows:

Communities of Altadena, Arcadia, Azusa, Bradbury, Duarte, East Pasadena, Irwindale, La Canada-Flintridge, Monrovia, Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre, & South Pasadena

Communities of Alhambra, El Monte, Mayflower Village, Montebello, Monterey Park, North El Monte, Roemead, San Gabriel, South El Monte, South San Gabriel, & Temple City

Communities of Avocado Heights, Baldwin Park, Bassett, Charter Oak, Citrus, City of Industry, Covina, Hacienda Heights, La Puente, Rowland Heights, South San Jose Hills, Valinda, Vincent, Walnut, West Puente Valley, & West Covina

Cluster Five
Communities of Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, & San Dimas

These meetings facilitated discussion of setting intervention priorities and identifying ways to improve service delivery coordination among jurisdictions, service providers, and community members. Over 124 individuals attended representing 29 San Gabriel Valley cities, 3 supervisorial districts, and 22 community- and faith-based organizations participated.

Phase I Report
