Alternative Fuel Vehicles/Fleet Management Training - July 31st
In order to assist our cities in modernizing their fleets with new vehicles that are more environmentally responsive, the SGVCOG, in partnership with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), has organized an “Alternative Fuels/ Fleet Management Workshop” for Thursday, July 31st from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Monrovia Community Center. This event will provide a full spectrum of practical information for fleet managers and other city staff on current fleet rules, available fuels and technologies, and maintenance and management issues. In order to facilitate implementation, opportunities for funding and joint-purchasing will also be presented.
Trash 101: A New Era of Solid Waste Management - September 12th
As part of our strategic plan, the SGVCOG is hosting an educational workshop for elected officials in the region to discuss solid waste issues facing the San Gabriel Valley in the coming years. The event is titled “Trash 101: A New Era for Solid Waste Management,” and it will be held on Friday, September 12th at the Los Angeles County Sanitation District offices in Whittier, CA.
