The San Gabriel Valley is a geographic area approximately 374 square mile and serves as the eastern gateway to Los Angeles and Southern California.  The San Gabriel Valley is home to more than 2 million California residents living in 31 incorporated cities and many unincorporated communities.

The San Gabriel Valley, founded in 1704, is the birthplace of Southern California.  It is our goal at the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments to honor the past while we build for a better tomorrow.  I welcome you to explore this website and learn about the San Gabriel Valley and its Council of Governments.

Sincerely,

David A. Spence
