2006 Awardees


Judy Chu
Ms. Chu is a former Mayor and Councilmember from the City of Monterey Park. She has also served on the California State Assembly representing the 49th District. She was a founding member of the SGVCOG and has played key roles both on the SGVCOG Board and in Sacramento supporting issues related to transportation, environment, education, and youth which are vital to the quality of life in our Valley. 

Lee Dolley
Mr. Dolley is the former General Council to the SGVCOG Governing Board, a position which he served during the first 11 years of the Agency. He has provided legal assistance to the cities in the San Gabriel Valley for over 30 years. In his capacity as SGVCOG General Counsel, Ms. Dolley guided the creation and organization of the Alameda Corridor East (ACE) Construction Authority, LA to Pasadena Blue Line Construction Authority, Metro San Gabriel Valley Transit Sector, and San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy. In addition to his work with the SGVCOG, Mr. Dolley has served as Chair of the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership.

Bart Doyle
Mr. Doyle is a former Mayor and Councilmember from the City of Sierra Madre. He served on the SGVCOG Governing Board from 1996 to 2005. During his tenure on the COG Board, he served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President. Under his leadership the COG organized the San Gabriel Valley Summit on Growth, the Environmental Summit, and the Strategic Housing Plan. 
 

Bob Huff
Mr. Huff is currently a member of the California State Assembly, representing the 60th District, where he serves as Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee. He is also a former Mayor and City Councilmember from the City of Diamond Bar. As a member of the COG Governing Board, he served as Treasurer and Vice President. Mr. Huff played a key role in the creation of the Alameda Corridor East (ACE) Construction Authority, where he served as Chair. He also organized the Four Corners Transportation Policy Group and served as President of the Foothill Transit Executive Board.   

Bob Kuhn
Mr. Kuhn is a former Mayor and Councilmember from the City of Glendora. He was a founding member of the SGVCOG as well as an active member of the predecessor organization—the San Gabriel Valley Association of Cities. He is a Past President of Foothill Transit and currently serves as President of the Three Valley Municipal Water District.
